Trade is increasingly becoming a driver for global well-being. In line with our vision, we want to take on a leadership role in this area. DP World has strong ambitions for the coming years.
With a capacity extension of 30% as well as an investment plan totalling EUR 200 million. This is our contribution, as DP World, to reinforcing Antwerp’s position as a global port.
The Port of Antwerp wants to extend its container capacity with 7 million TEU. We are convinced that the only way to realize this challenge is to do it in a sustainable way. Innovation, digitization and automation are the keys to success.
Sustainability and innovation go hand in hand with our growth ambitions. It is our moral duty to add more value to society than we take from it.
Moreover, sustainable investments will eventually pay off in the light of inevitable changes in the future such as resource depletion.
By investing in the knowledge and well-being of our employees, by being a facilitator in the modal shift to more sustainable means of transport and offering solutions to congestion on the roads, by actively contributing to creating a more safe and energy-efficient port, by playing our role in the community surrounding our terminal.
We want to make the difference for our customers, our employees, and our society. For this second edition of our sustainability report, we have really listened to our stakeholders. In five stakeholder sessions, we delved deeply into our achievements, as well as their wishes and expectations. Now that we’ve broadened our view, we’re already formulating strategies for the future…
