Our sustainability strategy Our World, Our Future is endorsed worldwide, but consciously places local accents. In our pursuit of a sustainable future, we have investigated how we can contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's).

Our activities have an impact on the environment and the communities in which we operate. As an integral part of the supply chain, we need to do more than just reduce our own impact and improve our business processes. In order to build a sustainable future, we are actively seeking dialogue with our stakeholders, both on the waterfront and on the land side. Thinking ahead and responding proactively to societal challenges leads us to implement changes in various parts of value chain.

DP World Antwerp is one of the largest container handling companies in the port of Antwerp. In our niche we strive for sustainable leadership. ‘Our World, Our Future’ is our global programme to introduce sustainability in every aspect of our work by knowingly dealing with:

Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's)
The SDG's were approved by 193 heads of state and government at a special United Nations summit in New York on 25 September 2015. They cover a whole range of sustainability themes, such as climate change, biodiversity, public health, education and poverty reduction, and will determine the global sustainability agenda in the coming years.
For the first time, companies, NGOs, governments and all other social actors are called upon to reach these 17 goals together by 2030. Throughout the text of our sustainability report we refer to the SDG where we believe we can play a role. In the coming years we will further define and implement our concrete commitments.
